What Cohort is

Cohort helps students form housing groups, discover places to live, and coordinate with student housing properties. Cohort is not a landlord, property manager, real estate broker, or party to any lease.

Leases, applications, screening, deposits, and rent are handled directly between you and the property. Each property sets its own terms, pricing, and eligibility requirements.

Listings and information

We work to keep listing information accurate, but pricing, availability, amenities, and fees can change and are controlled by each property. Listings marked “Sample” illustrate the format of the site and do not represent available units. Always confirm details directly with the property before making decisions.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, use Cohort only for lawful purposes, respect other users, and not misrepresent yourself or others. You are responsible for your own decisions about roommates and housing.

Roommate connections

Cohort may suggest potential roommates based on the preferences people share. We do not conduct background checks and cannot guarantee compatibility. Use your own judgment, meet in safe settings, and never send money to someone you haven’t verified.

Disclaimers

Cohort is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cohort is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or for the acts of properties or other users.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or change the service. We may suspend access for users who violate these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
