Information we collect

Information you provide: when you start a Cohort, create a roommate profile, join a waitlist, or contact us, we collect the details you enter — such as your name, email, phone number, university, budget, move-in timing, housing preferences, and roommate preferences.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, we collect basic technical information such as browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address, to operate and improve the site.

How we use information

We use your information to organize housing groups, suggest places and roommates that may fit, coordinate with properties on your behalf when you ask us to, respond to your messages, and improve our services.

We may share aggregated, de-identified demand information (for example, total beds requested in a market) with property partners. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing with properties

When you or your group ask to be introduced to a property, we share the information needed for that introduction — such as names, contact details, group size, and move-in timing. Once shared, the property’s own privacy practices apply.

Roommate profiles

Roommate profiles are used to suggest potential matches. We do not display your contact information publicly, and we only share it with another student when both of you agree to connect.

Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services or as required by law, and use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to stop sending you emails, by contacting us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Children

Our services are intended for college students and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
